Auditions for Fall 2021

Thank you for your interest in joining SYV’s 2021-22 Season!

Auditions are for voice placement only. We do not turn away a singer who has the desire to learn, grow, and share their voice with us.

Here’s what to expect:

Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork or get your questions answered.

Auditions will take place with our Founder and Artistic Director Mrs. Beauchamp, and/or her Associate Director Mrs. Hamada, in a private space. Parents and siblings are not allowed in the audition room.

The audition process is short and consists of pitch matching, repeating a sequence of notes, and identifying voice range and voice quality. This is an excellent opportunity for our director Mrs. Beauchamp and her associate director Mrs. Hamada to learn more about the singer and their goals.

It is not necessary to bring a prepared solo, but it is encouraged if one is ready and has been working on. Any piece that demonstrates the singer’s abilities will do. If not, a very simple and well-known tune will be requested.
