Virtual Voices Fall 2020

We are excited to announce our Fall Virtual Voices program for singers ages 8-18.

While we safely wait for circumstances to improve, we are taking singing and music education online.

Here are some details regarding the program and what to look forward to:

*Virtual classes/activities will be pre-recorded and available at singers convenience through a secure member portal that you will receive access to before classes begin. There will also be weekly LIVE video calls at predetermined dates and times to expound on the previous week’s lesson, interact with singers and encourage community.

*Activities will include work on preparing virtual choir pieces to share as a community project with local assisted living homes and other community partners for the holiday season as well as music practicum. We also look forward to inviting elite guest clinicians and collaborating with other Florida children’s choruses for a group state choral project.

*We plan on having incentives and ‘leveling up’ opportunities for all singers. Senior and higher level singers will be encouraged to participate in leadership roles during the production process; leading exercises, providing examples and even potentially participating in planning activities as they feel led to.

We will be holding a LIVE virtual ZOOM Q & A time for parents and singers on Sept 15th at 6:30 pm. If you’re unable to join us LIVE, please submit your questions via email at info@sarasotayv.org prior to the event . We will also offer a replay of the Q & A session which will be sent out afterwards and available on our Facebook page.

As a reminder, the Fall program begins the week of Sept. 22nd and runs through Dec. 15th with a Thanksgiving week break.

Any portion of this program can be modified and adjusted with reasonable notice to accommodate the constant flux of the ongoing pandemic.

Due to the virtual nature and length of the program, we are unable to offer refunds.
