Refund policy:

Students who withdraw prior to 10/01 will receive a $75 refund. No refunds after 10/01. Sarasota Young Voices is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization as well as a tax exempt organization in the State of Florida, and has complied with registration requirements to solicit charitable contributions.

Chorister Agreement

I understand that by participating in Sarasota Young Voices, I agree to the following.

I will be present at all rehearsals and performances. If I miss more than three times for unexcused reasons, the director may not let me perform at upcoming events.

If I must absolutely miss a rehearsal or performance, I will notify the director/administrator in writing well in advance.

I will represent SYV by being respectful to other singers and chaperones at all times. When in public, I will display behavior that is expected of all SYV singers.

I will keep my music well organized and neat in my folder.

I will not leave the rehearsal room or a performance by myself. I will be sure to be accompanied by my parent or a chaperone if I must leave.

Parent Agreement

I understand that by having my child participate in Sarasota Young Voices, I agree to the following.

I will ensure that my child is on time to rehearsals and performances.

I will notify the director in writing well in advance if my child must miss an upcoming rehearsal or performance.

I understand that I am required to volunteer/chaperone a minimum of 2 times per year (rehearsals or performances.)

MEDIA RELEASE:

I authorize Sarasota Young Voices to photograph, and make video or audio recordings of my child. (Herein referred to as photographic or electronic reproductions.) I authorize the use of any such photographic or electronic reproductions of my child for any purpose, including but not limited to educational and other public media as may be deemed appropriate by Sarasota Young Voices.

COVID-19 RELEASE:

I understand that singing has been shown to be a higher risk activity in the spread of COVID-19. I release and hold harmless Sarasota Young Voices and its parties, in the unlikely, but possible, event my child contracts COVID-19 while attending rehearsals/perfomances. I will keep my child home if they are experiencing ANY sign of cold or flu-like symptoms including, but limited to, fever, cough, runny nose, wheezing, etc. We will be following the Sarasota County Shcool Systems policy on masks and social distancing.
